Alva Rankin

Alva Rankin was recently honored by being elected to the Central States Water Environment Association’s (CSWEA) Golden Manhole Society. Election is made by members of the Society and recognizes significant contributions by individuals to the field of wastewater collection systems.

Alva serves as a Client Service Manager in the SEH St. Paul office. He specializes in asssiting communities resolve their collection system inflow and infilraton issues. Prior to joining SEH, Alva spent nine years working in the public sector. As a Project Coordinator for the City of Duluth, he was involved in all aspects of municipal projects, from Council presentations to organizing and conducting public meetings and forums. This wide ranging involvement gives him an exceptional understanding of the issues that public entities face when developing and implementing collection system programs.

The CSWEA, covering Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois, is a Water Environment Federation organization offering multiple opportunities for the exchange of water quality knowledge and experiences among its members and the public. Its goal is to foster a greater awareness of water quality achievements and challenges.
